What I know about the cornerstone to happiness and a meaningful life.

You cannot become happy without knowing yourself.
The leftover habit from my working years is getting up early. My workday in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital started at 06:30 am. In order to have ample time for my coffee, stretching, and meditation, I set the alarm at 04:30 am.
These days I don’t need an alarm clock. I am retired and yet I jump out of bed before five. Friends roll their eyes over my brutal morning rise, but I know that this is a treasure that I cannot live without.
I prep for the lemon water and coffee the night before in order to have the least outside input on my newly awakened peaceful mind.
The time in the quiet pre-dawn is a conscious celebration of who I am and my connection to the Universal oneness. We are all connected to this oneness. It is our human essence.
I believe that our human consciousness and our earthly existence are the same as the universal mind, where all things are possible. I clearly feel how I fit into this big world of ours, and how I am to proceed on my chosen path.
Today I will formulate this ritual into a Thanksgiving gift for you, my reader. Print it out and share it with others. These B words form a mantra that not only connects us to our higher self, it serves as a road map to where we are going.
It can help you to better know yourself and what you want, and find meaning in your own self-awareness.

The classic expression of having a water glass that is half empty or half full is significant to our perception of ourselves and the world in which we live. To live a life with scarcity, pessimism, and dread is a personal choice. There is much woe in the world and life is never easy. It is messy and painful at times, and none less as we grow older.
But living with abundance; having the glass half full is an opportunity available with a switch of thought. We are what we think we are.
Abundance, blessings, and beauty make life wondrous. At five am, this is my frame of mind. Add a cup of coffee, a notebook, and silence, and my existence becomes heaven on earth. Happiness is then rolling at my feet. Happy Day and Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone, Everywhere.
